Officer General Requirements

General Requirements of all positions: All officers must have been officially accepted into the UALR School of Social Work Program. The Board Officers must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA in social work program courses and must be enrolled in at least 6 hours during the fall and spring semesters in which an office in held.

 

       Courtney Marsden 

President

Jackie Fowler

  •  Preside at all meetings of the Organization.

  •  Serve as the official representative of the Organization.

  • Oversee the functioning of all officers and committee chairs.

  • Require concise reports from the officers concerning their work and programs.

  • Appoint officers to fill unexpired terms except in cases of suspension.

  • Maintain a relationship with the university Student Life Office and provide updated rosters and materials to that office as needed.

  • Attend monthly Social Work Faculty Meetings when possible and create a student report.

Vice President 

Allie Cheek

  •  Preside in the absence of the President.

  •  Coordinate and oversee the recruitment and retention activities of the Organization.

  •  Work closely with the faculty Advisor on all membership matters.

  •  Assist the President in the administration of the affairs of the Organization.

  •  Perform other duties assigned by the President.

  •  Attend monthly Social Work Faculty Meetings when possible and create a student report.

       Treasurer

    Courtney Marsden

  •  Maintain records regarding income and expenses of the Organization. ​

  •  Represent the Organization in the Student Life Office for financial relations. 

  •  Coordinate and oversee the recruitment and retention activities of the Organization.

Secretary

  •  Handles the correspondence of the club and keeps records and meeting minutes

  •  Informs officers of deadlines for reports, mailings, commitments

  •  Maintains membership lists and contact information

  •  Maintains complete and up-to-date copies of the club’s bylaws and other organizational documents

  • Collects membership dues

  • Enforces any membership guidelines

  • Acts as a liaison for students wanting information on the club

Communications Manager

Tameka White

  • Prepare a club newsletter concerning all aspects of club activities such as

    • Upcoming Club Meetings

    • Project Reports

    • Notes on members' accomplishments

    • Special honors bestowed upon members.

    • Committee reports

    • A calendar of upcoming projects, meetings and events.

  • Maintain communication with the school and local community.
